As we approach the four-year anniversary of her passing, Adam, Louise, Harriet, Zac, and others will be honouring her memory by taking on the Bude Sea Pool Channel Challenge on 28th September 2024. They will swim the equivalent of the English Channel -22 miles or 440 lengths - within the 91-metre long sea pool.

Stan was a wonderful, warm and loving person. He was a gentle giant and gave the best cwtches ever and will be remembered with a smile for his humor and his generous nature. He was respected and loved by all that knew him . Stan was sadly taken well before his time. The best husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Stan was my rock, my soulmate and best friend.

Caroline Swift: running the London Marathon
I have chosen to raise money for The Aortic Centre Trust as I wanted to support a charity whose work was close to my heart (pardon the pun!). In 2021, my mother was found to have an abdominal aortic aneurysm, which has impacted her life significantly up until, thankfully, she under went successful, life saving, surgery before this Christmas just gone.

Manchester Marathon
My dad died suddenly of an aortic aneurysm in August 2020. He was, otherwise, super fit and healthy. He was also a stubborn 65 year old man who basically never went to the doctor. If he had done, this might have been prevented.

Mendip Way walk – Weston-super-Mare to Frome, 50 miles
This year I have decided to take on the challenge of this walk over the Mendips. This route is particularly apt for me as James was born in Weston and I was born in Frome. Every year since I lost James i take on a challenge to raise money for The Aortic Centre Trust and keep James's memory alive. I am hoping that a few friends and family will join me along the way.
