How you can help us
One of our key aims is to raise awareness of aortic disease in the wider population.
You may wish to volunteer to help with fundraising or raise funds yourself through sponsored events... cake bakes, bicycle rides, marathons etc.
If you are unable to help in this way, you can still be of immense value in raising awareness of aortic disease with your friends, family and colleagues.

Help us raise money for aortic centres in the UK
In the last 10 years lots of new technology has helped patients with aortic disease to survive their surgery, recover more quickly and to get back to normal life.
These improvements span everything from better X-ray machines and X-rays in operating theatres to stents and stent grafts, all the way to operating robots.
Each of these new waves of technology need to be properly understood and their strengths and weaknesses determined. This requires investment in both machinery and in people - usually young surgeons in training - who are learning how to research new techniques and how to teach the surgical world about their findings.

Put the 'fun' into fund raising... fund raising for a worthwhile cause is one of the most satisfying things that any of us can do... be passionate, be enthusiastic, give something back and have a good time in the process... you shouldn't need an excuse to wear a Big Bird costume but, if you do, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.
