In loving memory of Allan Robert Wilson

We wish to encourage all those who knew him, to kindly make a donation in loving memory of Allan Robert Wilson, who sadly died on the 23rd of February 2022.

As a mechanical man and devoted engineer, we hope that all donations from this page will be put towards the advancements in detection equipment related to this aortic disease.

It is also the wishes of Robert's loved ones that his memory works to educate and encourage others to seek medical screening related to this disease.

Apart from his farming and engineering skills, Robert was also a life long expert church bell ringer. His skills as a ringer, teacher of ringing and maker and installer of bell frames were widely respected. This donation is from a band of bell ringers who rang a peal on the bells of St Swithin’s Church, Wellow, Notts (at which Rob was tower captain) on 17th May 2022 in Rob’s memory. It was decided that their peal fees (payment for the use of the bells) should be donated to the Aortic Centre Trust to honour Rob’s huge commitment to bell ringing throughout his life.
