This year I have decided to take on the challenge of this walk over the Mendips. This route is particularly apt for me as James was born in Weston and I was born in Frome. Every year since I lost James i take on a challenge to raise money for The Aortic Centre Trust and keep James's memory alive.

My Granda has an aortic aneurysm which dissociated last month temporarily blocking blood supply to his legs.
Louise's son, James was born with Marfan's Syndrome a hereditary disease which causes aneurysms of the aorta and other arteries. Sadly, after three major operations, James died in April 2017.
